Cairns

On Saturday 5 April we spent the day looking around Cairns.
Above is the statue of Captain Cook on the Captain Cook Highway just down the road from our hotel.
We caught a bus into the town centre and took a look round the shops.
We then headed for the beachfront lagoon.


While the kids went swimming with their mum, I went for a walk around the Esplanade.








and then out onto the pier.




We finished the day with a meal at Hog's Breath Cafe.
