Day 4 - To Sydney

We took a taxi from the Albert Park Manor to Southern Cross station where we caught a Sunbus shuttle to Avalon Airport, the domestic airport south of Melbourne.

There we caught a Jetstar flight to Sydney.

We arrived at Sydney Airport at 2.45pm and purchased a Sydney Pass, giving us unlimited travel on public transport, then caught an airport link train to Central railway station and then walked for about 10 minutes before realising we were going in the wrong direction! We headed back and walked the short distance to our hotel, The Pensione Hotel on George Street on the edge of Chinatown.

After we had settled into our rooms we caught a bus to the harbour for our first look at Sydney bridge
and opera house.
