Day Trip

On day 3 we headed to Swanston Street near the junction of Bourke Street where we were to catch a coach for a day trip. We first headed to the Dandenong Ranges and saw the Puffing Billy steam train. Then it was off to our first stop Warrook Cattle Farm. We went inside for lunch and then a hay ride round the farm, passing the variety of animals.


We stopped near the cattle and the kids got to feed them and have a go at milking a cow. We then saw a working sheep dog demonstration.





Then we had a go at stock whip cracking. A lot harder to get it to make the cracking noise than you'd think but I managed it. This was followed by a sheep shearing demonstration.











Then we met kangaroos for the first time.






A look round the gift shop then back on the bus and off to Phillip Island.
